Whirlwind

Hello.

Happy New Year! It has been a couple of months since I last updated. Gosh, I miss this space but I haven't had the time to sit down and share things. Safe to say, my new job has got me busy (in a good way). I've been occupied with work and family (most of the time), which is good since that was the reason why I changed jobs in the first place.

Funny thing is, I still haven't bought an office plant yet but I did purchase more clothes. On that note, I did clear out a lot of my wardrobe, which clothes and accessories I barely wore and haven't worn in a few years. Surprisingly, the clothes that I actually do wear are only a quarter of my whole wardrobe! It was certainly refreshing to see that clutter sorted out.

Oh, and I have finally learned to drink my coffee black – without sugar! I can appreciate good coffee much better now.

With so many things happening within two months – the new workplace, new colleagues, new work processes and life in general, I skipped out on cafe hopping for awhile. Starting January, everything was calmer and more manageable so I treated myself to a cafe and a catch up session with Hudsy last weekend.

We decided on Project Space in SS15, Subang Jaya. Located on the first floor, opposite Asia Cafe, the space was neat, minimal and cosy (the pillows were fluffy). It served coffee and some cakes and if my memory serves me right, they had red velvet cake and a cake with peanut butter, I think?

Anyway, when we went, it was pretty quiet, so Hudsy and I had the place to ourselves. While I ordered Americano, Hudsy was feeling a little more adventurous on her caffeine when she tried out Cokecaine – coffee shots with Coke! Such bravery!

Half way through our drinks, we tried out their earl grey peach cake, which was delicious! The cake had a good earl grey balance to its peach counterpart, without an overwhelming sweetness. We liked it very much and most probably, we'd come back to this space.

P.s: it's almost difficult to have a candid shot of Hudsy staying still. So much movements.
