September daisy
01:56Since late August, things have been a little hectic for me but I think I'm well managing it, still, I think? Because usually what you think you're doing and what you're actually doing are two different things. Trying to be on my toes, I squeezed what little time I have for myself with coffee and food at the new and old.
Boyfriend introduced me to RM5 coffee in Publika. It's a pop up store called #Room203. The coffee was good that I went back for it the second time in the same week. It was one of the little things that boyfriend did to cheer me up (thank you!) Next to #Room203, there is another pop up store called cremeo.my, selling homemade soft serve flavours like vanilla sea salt and Thai chai.
Then, on the weekends, before seeing dad in the hospital, mom and I tried Calories KL in Sri Hartamas. I've been seeing posts on Instagram about this place and heard some raving reviews. Mom and I shared their steak sandwich. We had their iced latte and passion fruit soda. Overall, it was OK. The ambience of the shop was nice but I believe it could have been better with warm service from the counter.
More importantly, I learn that having people who genuinely care for you helps you to keep yourself in check. I haven't said my thanks yet but I am eternally grateful for mom and boyfriend who have been supporting me [in the midst of this craziness] in their own ways.
But things are slowly falling back into places and becoming alright. I'm anticipating the good things to come for those whom I love — for joy and better health. I wish for a lot of things for other people (mostly good things). Cheers to sunshine after the rain.
